Training & Development

Teaching & Learning on the Web

E–learning is more than just another way to provide training to your employees and customers. Well–designed e–learning initiatives allow your organization to be forward thinking and provide essential knowledge and information to your audience when and where they need it. This allows them to be more effective, productive, and satisfied.

LearningChange designers have extensive experience and training in instructional design and technology, human resource development, organizational planning and consulting, multimedia design and development, and Web design. This knowledge enables LearningChange to design and deliver effective online learning solutions that satisfy the needs of the organization and the learner.

Design & Application of E–Learning

There are numerous approaches to e–learning. LearningChange works with its clients to determine the specific requirements that are right for their organization. The solution selected could include any of the following approaches:

  • Self–paced learning systems that use anything from a simple HTML–based Web site structure to a complete Learning Management System such as WebCT, Blackboard, or one of many others.
  • Group paced, “live” online courses that use collaborative software such as Horizon Wimba and WebEX.
  • Blended learning that consists of any combination of self–paced and group–paced online components along with traditional face–to–face training.

Regardless of the approach, LearningChange designers will help you determine how to best deliver your training in a way that motivates and captivates your learners.

Meeting 508 Accessibility Guidelines

Our goal is to build accessible and highly “relevant” Web sites for our clients. Every site that we build meets the W3C and Federal Section 508 standards of accessibility for as many Internet users as possible—both those that use assistive technologies and those that do not.

Online Collaboration & Creativity

LearningChange designed the course “Adolescent Farmworkers at Risk” for the nonprofit organization Migrant Clinicians Network. This course is designed to provide relevant cultural, behavioral, and clinical information to health–care workers and clinicians supporting migrant farmworkers.

LearningChange designers have designed numerous online course environments for California State University, Chico. Many of these courses have received the Exemplary Online Course Award from the Center for Excellence in Learning & Teaching.
