Biography of Samantha Meemken

Samantha, known informally as “Sam,” has her roots back on a dairy farm near the small town of Battle Lake, Minnesota. Samantha graduated from Minnesota State University, Moorhead with a degree in Graphic Communications with a Multimedia Concentration. During her college career, she participated in the National Student Exchange and attended California State University, Chico for one year.

Samantha’s expertise is in computer graphics, kinetic typography, animation, and multimedia development. These skills make her a strong interface designer for both web and multimedia applications—matched by an elegant eye for print design.

Samantha’s meticulousness and work ethic brings fresh designs and a high level of quality to LearningChange projects and publications.

In the community, Samantha volunteers her time to organizations that can be helped by her design skills. She has designed posters for fundraising events for the Butte Humane Society, as well as an identity system for the Children's Choir of Chico. She is also a design mentor through the Academy of Communications and Technology at Chico High School.
